ANNE TAMMEL
Featured by Influential Women

Anne Tammel is featured this month by Influential Women for her team building work aligning global leaders and workforces, interactive keynote sessions on Women and Wealth and Redefining Global Leadership, and for advising executives on positioning strategy for global scale and expansion.

Also this month: Anne's article "Aphelion, and What Comes Next" on influentialwomen.com, her keynote "Redefining Global Leadership: Women Lead Forward" at Women in Tech V3 on October 16 at The Cove in Irvine, and the OC C-Suite Tech Leadership Happy Hour during OC Tech Week on October 22.

"The question I keep returning to this fall: leadership has become a global discipline. Most organizations are still practicing it locally.

Companies now runs teams across four time zones, hire talent they rarely meet in person, and tell stories to markets that read them differently than the markets they were built in. The leadership structures that once carried the company to its current size and revenue were designed for a different problems, local markets, and smaller outcomes.

Three things have moved to the center of my work this year.

Alignment across distance.
Global teams fail on clarity long before they fail on capability. Alignment is architecture: who decides, what the standard is, how it holds when the leader has left the call.

Positioning as a capital event.
How value is understood determines where credibility forms, who grants access, and where capital chooses to land. A company with real substance and an indistinct position pays for that gap in every negotiation it enters.

Cultural intelligence as strategy.
A story that lands beautifully in Irvine can arrive flat in Singapore. For any organization with international ambition, that difference carries real money.

Underneath all three sits the same cornerstone. Trust determines decision speed, retention, and whether capital extends its patience. It multiplies every other asset a company holds.

This is my work: advising leaders to read the entire field, then build the architecture that converts what they see into trust, investment, access, and enduring value.

I work with the leaders to define the vision then build the strategy; I work with the teams to align. activate, and actualize that vision for global expansion.

Call me to schedule a workforce alignment session for your team.

Global Positioning Strategy and Aligning Global Teams

Positioning strategy and culture often get treated as separate disciplines.
For 27 years Anne Tammel has advised Fortune 100 leaders on what produces a global positioning strategy and a peak-performing global organization — building the strategy and redefining the leadership required to align global organizations losing market share, dropping rapidly in revenue, employee retention, and customer retention. Global positioning strategy and leadership architecture, built as one system.

The work begins where most global organizations break: a company operating across continents carries a different story in each of its regions; the leaders align on the words while splitting on the meaning. Tammel builds the single position the enterprise can hold worldwide, then architects the leadership behavior that makes it true in Singapore, São Paulo, and Santa Clara at the same time. Position without leadership stays a slide. Leadership without position stays local. Together they scale sustainably.

That method traces back to where she started. Tammel began her career at the Silicon Valley firm that positioned Steve Jobs and the greatest tech leaders of its time, practicing positioning at the altitude where a company's entire market perception is decided. Having grown up in San Jose, one of the most culturally integrated cities in the world, at the inception of Silicon Valley, raised by parents from Manhattan, she formed the instinct for aligning people across difference long before it became a practice.

Today that practice runs inside Fortune 100 organizations with multiple billions in measured impact. Her Force Field Method integrates Silicon Valley strategy, USC architecture, and neuroscience-based leadership to scale peak-performing organizations, and her Redefining Global Leadership framework supplies the culture architecture underneath it.

Tammel's current research addresses where global capital is heading. By 2030 women are projected to control approximately $34 trillion in US investable assets, compounding at 8.1% a year. Capital is moving toward women faster than power at the decision table is, and the institutions that align their boards, CFO suites, and cap tables to that shift are positioned for where the assets are going.
